Upgrades and Outtakes

A couple of weeks ago, I had my first opportunity to get out and really shoot with my new, upgraded camera. It was absolutely fantastic! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my old camera, but sometimes it’s time to freshen things up. I’m so thankful that Stephen was able to get me a new camera for Christmas. It was a wonderful gift that is going to get quite a workout over the next two weeks.

My first wedding is this Saturday! I’ll be honest – I’m really quite nervous. And anxious. And excited. And thrilled. Basically, I’m all over the place. More than anything, though, I’m excited. I know it’s going to be amazing.

Later on today, I’ll be sharing the actual session that I mentioned at the beginning of this post. It was actually for my dad, who needed some head shots and portraits taken. Since this session was for my dad, we kind of made it into a family thing and had my mom and Stephen tag along. We ended up having a great afternoon walking around Marietta Square.

I think this shot by Stephen proves that I should stay behind the camera. It’s better for all involved that way. That, or my parents and I just aren’t so good at the family photo thing.

While my dad changed into his suit, I grabbed a couple of shots of my mom. These two turned out to be my absolute favourites of her.

Be ready for a ton of updates over the next couple of weeks. It’s a really exciting time for me and Beatific Photography and I can’t wait to share the experience.
