I may be a bit biased, but this is definitely my favourite debut I’ve made on this blog. Henry Michael Croft was born on 28 March at 6:08 pm. Though we had half joked all along that our baby would be at least 8 lbs., he came in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. and 20″. Though the end of my pregnancy got a little stressful and complicated, he was born with a perfect bill of health. We truly couldn’t be more in love with this sweet baby who greets us with smiles and coos every morning.
Be still my heart.
This post officially marks the end of my maternity leave. It’s also a bit of a shift in what life is and will be like around here, as things really are a little different around the Croft house these days. Emails will come second to times of making the faces and noises that elicit the best smile in the world. Posts will be written, but only after the dance parties. As I write this, Henry is doing one of the things he loves the most – kicking on his mat. This child’s love of kicking around is truly unrivaled, and it sure explains why I felt his feet moving around in my ribs so often. It may take me a little bit of time to adjust to the balance of working from home and taking care of Henry, but I couldn’t be more thankful for it all.
